Stone Senate Releases Special LIVE Video of “Whiskey Helps” (Premiere)
by: Trevor Justin
Being often compared to the legendary names of Lynyrd Skynyrd crossed with The Allman Brothers Band, Stone Senate are taking what came naturally and putting it together to bring it one step further.
This single is Stone Senate’s first release since being signed as the flagship artist on Erv Woolsey’s (George Strait) new imprint Rollin’ the Dice Records, in conjunction with Copperline Music Group. “Whiskey Helps” was produced by Toby Wright (KISS, Alice in Chains) and is the lead single from their upcoming EP, which is slated for release in early 2021. This project follows their previous albums 1 (2014) and Star City (2016).
“Whiskey Helps was written from the point of view of using happy hour as a therapy session of sorts. Whether it’s a broken heart or just your everyday garden variety disillusionment with the BS we all run into, sometimes ya just need to throw back a few shots and let it all go,” explains the band
This band has built their audience through relentless touring year round, along with radio tours inserted into the schedule. Having been together since 2012, the band is able to widen their collective setlist while throwing in band and audience favorites of country and rock legendary songs.
The group has been touring together non-stop since 2012 and is fronted by lead vocalist/guitarist Clint Woolsey’ssoulful vocals and unmistakable stage presence. He is supported by dual lead guitarist James Edwards and Ted Hennington and the rhythm section of Paul Zettler on bass/vocals with David Zettler on drums/vocals.
