2017 Grammy Artist of Tomorrow Drake White / BMLG

Making Me Look Good Again Music Video

Director, Shaun Silva of TackleBox Films delivers another great video for Grammy Artist of Tommorrow Drake White of Big Machine Label Group.

Though Drake White is known for his energetic live shows and swampy bayou-burners like "It Feels Good," the first single from his debut LP Spark, the Alabama native is really a vocalist at heart with soulful pipes straight from the Chris Stapleton school of song. On "Making Me Look Good Again," a tender, piano-propelled ballad that's more Memphis than Nashville, he lets those warm, gravelly runs take center stage, and the new video for the track doubles down on its subtle sensuality.

"'Making Me Look Good Again' is my tribute to soul music," White says in a teaser for the video. "My wife is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The concept of when she’s standing beside me I look a lot better than when she’s not standing beside me, is what this song was written off of." White crafted the track with Monty Criswell and Shane Minor, and it's currently a staple on his Spark Tour 2017.

White will continue on the road through August, with stops at this weekend's Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale and CMA Music Festival in June.
