NASHVILLE, TN (August 5, 2015)— Music City’s own Tony Brown will be a guest speaker this year at Memphis’ Elvis Week.

On August 12th at 10:00am, Tony will be sharing his memories of Graceland and what it was like playing for one of the biggest music icons, the King of Rock and Roll. He will be telling stories including days spent in the legendary Jungle Room recording hits and being on call for when the King wanted to get his gospel groove on.

Tony first met Elvis in 1969 at the International Hotel in Las Vegas while playing for JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet. After his journey with Elvis, Tony continued playing keys for Emmylou Harris and then made his mark as a hit country music producer. In the 90’s, he became the head executive of one of the largest record labels in Nashville, MCA Records.

He has produced and signed the likes of artists such as, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Lyle Lovett, Steve Earle, Barbra Streisand and many other legendary names.

Even after hundreds of hits and over one hundred million album sales, Tony to this day still seems to be defined by his time with Elvis.

Tony will be kicking off his first photo shoot for his new iconic coffee table book in the historic Jungle Room while appearing at Elvis Week 2015.
