JAYNE DENHAM///
Jayne Denham's Moonshine album is a powerful continuation of her previous Wanted album, both in thematic and musical depth. The goal was to create a campaign that matched the explosive energy of the Moonshine album. Dead Horse Branding designed an intricate campaign that included a new costume design, strategic partnerships, and a strong promotional strategy.
To reflect the moonshiners' era that the album pays tribute to, Jayne Denham needed a fresh and authentic look. Dead Horse Branding partnered with Australian leather designer Buffalo Girl to create custom pieces for Jayne's costume, including a gun holster, cuffs, and hat bands. This collaboration ensured that Jayne's visual presentation was as compelling and authentic as her music.
To enhance the campaign's authenticity, Dead Horse Branding secured a licensing deal with Franklin Co. Distillery in Franklin Co., VA, known as the moonshine capital of the world. This deal included the creation of Jayne Denham's own moonshine flavors, Orchard Peach and Ridge Runner Pear, adding a tangible product that fans could connect with and further promoting the album's theme.
Crossing over from the Australian market where Jayne has dominated as a five-time Golden Guitar nominee, the campaign aimed to expand her reach. Dead Horse Branding brought in Colt Ford to complement Jayne’s powerhouse vocals with creative lyricism. Their collaboration on the single "Moonshine" was a significant highlight, ensuring the album had strong support from both artists' fanbases.
The Moonshine single launched with a music video directed by Rick Caballo, Dead Horse Branding's Creative Director. The video received significant placements on both CMT AU and CMT USA, ensuring wide visibility.
In conclusion, the campaign for Jayne Denham’s Moonshine album successfully blended strategic elements to amplify her presence and impact in the country rock genre. Resulting in chart successes including No. 1 on the 2TM Tamworth with "Lovin' a Wild Thing," No. 1 on CountryTown Hot 50 with "Lovin' a Wild Thing," No. 1 on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay with "Lovin' A Wild Thing," No. 1 on ARIA Top 20 Australian Country with Moonshine, No. 7 on ARIA Top 20 Australian Albums with Moonshine, No. 14 on ARIA Top 40 Country Albums with Moonshine, No. 2 on the Australian Independent Record Labels Association with "Lovin' A Wild Thing," and No. 1 on the 2TM Australian Country Music Chart with "Lovin' A Wild Thing."
The collaboration with Buffalo Girl on costume design, the licensing deal with Franklin Co. Distillery, and the strategic partnership with Colt Ford all contributed to a campaign that was as dynamic and engaging as the album itself. The strong promotional strategy, including the high-profile music video and extensive chart successes, highlights the effectiveness of the campaign in resonating with fans and securing Jayne Denham’s position as a leading artist in the industry. With the album’s continued promotion and the strategic use of her chart-topping singles, Jayne Denham is set to make a significant mark in the country rock scene.
