Dead Horse Branding was hired to manage social media, build a website, distribute, and promote music for electro-pop singer Halston Dare. Prior to the release of her single "Replace You," Dead Horse worked with One RPM to secure distribution, which led to nearly 90,000 streams on Spotify within the first three weeks. Dead Horse’s press and digital promotion strategy has significantly boosted Halston’s popularity as we got behind Halston's single releases "Lonely in LA", "Replace You", "GIRLS", "Pinnacle"(As cited in the gallery snapshot). The promotional efforts included media placements through interviews, social takeovers, and single announcements.

 

Her dance-pop singles "Replace You" and "Teach Em" have collectively amassed over 1.4 million streams on Spotify. Her 2021 single "Pinnacle" surpassed 1 million streams and was featured in American Songwriter, with Dead Horse organizing a surprise release party at Houston’s The Vault. 

 

Halston’s summer hit “GIRLS” broke her personal streaming records, hitting 700,000 Spotify streams in the first month, eventually surpassing 1 million. Dead Horse capitalized on this success to secure her a set at the Kentuckiana Pride Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Halston also performed at Houston’s House of Blues, opened for Rico Nasty, and was scheduled for the H.E.R. Thanksgiving Day Parade. Her success with “GIRLS” garnered attention from the Houston Chronicle and Houstonia Magazine, where she shared insights about the track.
